spaghetti night

i took a very distant field trip last night to upland to have spaghetti, amazing cheese rolls, and a pitcher of amber bock with rhi. she's just come back from study abroad in berlin and told me about her german host mama, who didn't speak any english. she would come into rhi's room with her laptop and sit down on the bed and they would use google translate to talk and talk and talk.
